Job Summary:

The Design Head will be responsible for leading the design function, driving creative direction, and ensuring the successful delivery of interior design projects from concept to execution. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, design expertise, and the ability to manage teams, clients, and multiple high-value projects while maintaining quality, timelines, and budget adherence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and oversee the entire design team, ensuring high-quality output and consistency across projects.

- Define and drive the creative vision, design standards, and overall design strategy of the organisation.

- Review and approve design concepts, layouts, working drawings, and presentations before client submission.

- Design multiple projects on time and to quality.

- Create a WOW factor in the designs.

- Ensure all designs align with client requirements, brand standards, and functional feasibility.

- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within defined budgets and quality benchmarks.

- Act as the primary escalation point for design-related challenges and provide effective solutions.

- Regular Site Visits, Material Selections.

- Create a standard library for faster work.

- Collaborate closely with clients, senior stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.

- Oversee preparation of detailed drawings, including layouts, elevations, and service drawings.





- Ensure strong coordination between design, execution, and vendor teams.

- Monitor site progress through periodic reviews and ensure design intent is maintained during execution.

- Establish and implement design processes, SOPs, and best practices.

- Mentor, guide, and develop the design team to enhance creativity, productivity, and technical capabilities.

- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, materials, and technologies to bring innovation into projects.

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Strong leadership and team management skills

- Excellent design sensibility and creative thinking

- Advanced knowledge of space planning, materials, and execution

- Robust client management and presentation skills

- High proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3Ds Max, or similar tools

- Strong project management and problem-solving abilities

- Attention to detail with a strategic mindset

- Making SOP’s and Processes

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Interior Design or Architecture

Experience:

- 8–12+ years of experience in interior design

- Minimum 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial role

- Experience handling high-value residential and/or commercial projects

- Worked in volume numbers.

- 15 to 20 designers managed.

- Communication should be good.

- System-oriented: ERP, MIS, etc.

- Travelling to Mumbai and Hyderabad as well.

- When the assignment is given, they are using AI – need the actual thought process.
