About the Opportunity

We are looking for passionate, academically strong and student-focused Mathematics and Science Faculty to join our IIT Foundation Program across multiple branches in Tamil Nadu.

The selected faculty will teach students from Grades 6–8, focusing on strong conceptual foundations, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and early preparation for competitive examinations.

This is an excellent opportunity for both freshers and experienced educators who aspire to build a career in IIT Foundation, Olympiad and competitive-exam education.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach Mathematics or Science to students of Grades 6–8 as part of the IIT Foundation Program.
- Build strong conceptual understanding rather than focusing only on textbook completion.
- Develop students' analytical thinking, logical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Prepare students for higher-order thinking and competitive examinations.
- Conduct engaging, activity-oriented and problem-solving-based classes.
- Use relevant examples, demonstrations, experiments and real-life applications to make concepts practical and engaging.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, tests and practice materials.
- Conduct regular assessments and identify student learning gaps.
- Provide remedial and additional academic support wherever required.
- Track individual student performance and maintain accurate academic records.
- Collaborate with the Program Coordinator, Program Head and Branch Academic Team.
- Participate in faculty training, academic reviews and professional development programs.
- Follow the prescribed curriculum, teaching methodology and academic standards of the IIT Foundation Program.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive,



focused learning environment.
- Support examinations, Olympiads, competitions, academic events and special IIT Foundation activities.
- Be willing to travel or work at assigned branches across Tamil Nadu, as required.

Eligibility & Skills

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology or a relevant subject, as applicable to the position.
- Strong academic foundation in the relevant subject.
- Candidates with IIT/JEE/NEET/Olympiad/competitive-exam teaching experience will have an advantage.
- Freshers are welcome to apply.
- Prior teaching experience is desirable but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conceptual teaching ability.
- Passion for teaching and working with middle-school students.
- Willingness to learn, undergo training and work within a structured academic system.
