The Fashion Design Faculty is responsible for delivering high-quality education, mentoring students, developing academic content, and fostering creativity and innovation within the Fashion Design department. The faculty member will guide students through theoretical concepts, practical applications, industry-oriented projects, and portfolio development while ensuring academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities Academic Responsibilities :

- Deliver lectures, demonstrations, workshops, and practical sessions in Fashion Design.
- Teach subjects related to:
- Fashion Illustration
- Design Fundamentals
- Textile Science
- Pattern Making
- Garment Construction
- Surface Ornamentation
- Draping Techniques
- Fashion Styling
- Fashion Communication
- CAD for Fashion Design
- Fashion Portfolio Development
- Fashion Forecasting and Trend Analysis
- Prepare lesson plans, study materials, presentations, assignments, and assessments.
- Conduct evaluations, examinations, and provide constructive feedback to students.
- Maintain academic records, attendance, and student progress reports.

Student Development

- Mentor students in developing design concepts and creative thinking.
- Guide students in portfolio creation for higher studies, internships, and employment opportunities.
- Support students in fashion shows, exhibitions, competitions, and industry projects.
- Encourage participation in national and international design events.

Industry Engagement

- Establish collaborations with industry professionals and organizations.
- Organize guest lectures, workshops, seminars, and industry visits.
- Stay updated with current fashion trends, technologies,



and market developments.
- Integrate industry practices into the curriculum.

Administrative Responsibilities

- Participate in curriculum planning and syllabus development.
- Coordinate academic activities, events, and departmental initiatives.
- Assist in admissions, counseling, and student orientation programs.
- Maintain laboratory, studio, and resource materials.
- Participate in faculty meetings, reviews, and institutional activities.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design (Mandatory)
- Master's Degree in Fashion Design or related field (Preferred)
- Industry certifications in Fashion Technology or CAD will be an added advantage.

Experience

- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching and/or industry experience in Fashion Design.
- Experience in handling undergraduate and diploma-level students is preferred.
