Role Overview

The Design Engineer will be responsible for creating 3D models, 2D drawings, assemblies, and design documentation for automation systems and special purpose machines. The role requires strong design fundamentals, hands‑on experience with Solid Edge, and the ability to convert customer requirements into practical engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop 3D models, assemblies, and detailed 2D drawings using Solid Edge.
- Create design concepts for automation equipment and special purpose machines.
- Interpret customer requirements and convert them into engineering designs.
- Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials), technical documentation, and revision control.
- Coordinate with Project, Production, and Purchase teams for design feasibility and execution.
- Ensure designs meet functional, safety, and manufacturing requirements.
- Support manufacturing and assembly teams with design clarifications.




- Participate in design reviews and implement improvements.
- Work with suppliers for component selection, technical discussions, and cost optimization.
- Maintain design quality, accuracy, and adherence to project timelines.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Strong proficiency in Solid Edge (Part, Assembly, Drafting, Sheet Metal).
- Good understanding of mechanical design principles, GD&T;, tolerances, and fits.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Knowledge of automation components, pneumatics, fixtures, and SPM mechanisms.
- Good communication skills for internal and external coordination.
- Strong problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, assembly).
- Proficiency in MS Office and basic engineering documentation tools.

Other Requirements

- Two‑wheeler with valid driving licence (preferred).
- Willingness to visit customer sites or suppliers when required.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple design tasks simultaneously.

Pay: ₹11,305.11 - ₹46,048.52 per month
