Data Modeler – Databricks Delta Lake / Lakebase & Oracle Cloud Migration

We are looking for an experienced Data Modeler to join our Data Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in enterprise data modeling, Databricks Delta Lake, Lakebase, and Oracle-to-cloud migration.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on enterprise data modernization initiatives and build scalable, governed, and AI-ready data platforms.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise data platforms.
- Lead and support Oracle database migration initiatives to modern cloud environments.
- Design scalable data solutions using Databricks Delta Lake and Lakebase.
- Work with Unity Catalog and Delta Sharing to enable secure data governance and sharing.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Architects, Business Analysts, and business stakeholders to gather and define data requirements.
- Support cloud data platform initiatives across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
- Work with data integration and transformation tools such as Azure Data Factory, dbt, Informatica, and Fivetran.
- Implement and maintain data governance, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality standards.
- Work with governance tools such as Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation,



and Informatica EDC.
- Develop and maintain data standards, naming conventions, and modeling best practices.
- Support the development of AI/ML-ready data products and feature engineering capabilities.
- Ensure data solutions meet scalability, security, compliance, and performance requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 6+ years of experience in Data Modeling, Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or related roles.
- Strong expertise in Enterprise Data Modeling.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks Delta Lake and Lakebase.
- Experience migrating Oracle databases to contemporary cloud platforms.
- Experience working with at least one major cloud platform: Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Strong knowledge of Unity Catalog and Delta Sharing.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory, dbt, Informatica, or Fivetran.
- Hands-on understanding of Data Governance, Data Quality, Metadata Management, and Data Lineage.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation, or Informatica EDC.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Industry Experience

Experience in one or more of the following industries is preferred:

- Other regulated industries
