Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations of a manufacturing firm. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, manufacturing-related accounts, statutory compliances, reconciliation, MIS reporting, and excellent proficiency in BUSY Software and Advanced Excel.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including purchase, sales, receipts, payments, journal entries, and ledger maintenance.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure timely accounting of all financial transactions.
- Handle GST, TDS and other statutory compliance-related accounting activities.
- Prepare and review bank, vendor, customer and ledger reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable and ensure timely follow-up for outstanding payments and collections.
- Maintain and verify purchase, sales, inventory and expense records related to manufacturing operations.
- Coordinate with vendors, customers, auditors, consultants and internal departments regarding accounting matters.
- Prepare monthly MIS reports, management reports, expense analysis and other financial statements.
- Assist in monthly,



quarterly and annual closing of accounts.
- Ensure proper documentation and verification of invoices, bills, vouchers and supporting documents.
- Monitor accounting data and identify discrepancies, errors or unusual transactions.
- Maintain proper records for audit and support statutory and internal audits.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls and applicable accounting standards.
- Generate reports and perform data analysis using Advanced Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, IF functions, data validation and other advanced Excel features.
- Ensure accurate and timely updating of accounts in BUSY Accounting Software.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial accounting.
- Excellent working knowledge of BUSY Accounting Software.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
- Good knowledge of GST, TDS and statutory compliance.
- Strong understanding of reconciliation and ledger scrutiny.
- Knowledge of manufacturing accounting, inventory and cost-related transactions will be an advantage.
- Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
- Positive communication and coordination skills.
