Job Description – Sr Executive– Procurement

Job Title: Sr Executive – Procurement
Department: Procurement / Supply Chain
Location: Wakad
Reporting To: Head – Operations / Director
Experience: 3–4 Years (Transportation/Logistics Industry Preferred)
Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA in Supply Chain/Operations will be an added advantage.

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Sr. Executive– Procurement to oversee the procurement function and ensure the timely and cost-effective purchase of goods and services required for business operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in vendor sourcing, strategic procurement, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management. The candidate must possess excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills, along with a strong vendor network. Experience in the transportation, logistics, fleet management will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for operational, maintenance, and administrative requirements.
- Develop and maintain a robust vendor database to ensure the availability of reliable and cost-effective suppliers.
- Source new vendors, evaluate supplier capabilities, and on board qualified vendors as per company standards.
- Obtain quotations, conduct comparative analyses, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve the best commercial outcomes.
- Procure transportation-related materials, including vehicle spare parts, tyres, batteries, lubricants, maintenance consumables, safety equipment, uniforms, office supplies, and other operational requirements.
- Prepare, review, and approve Purchase Requisitions (PRs), Purchase Orders (POs), and procurement-related documentation.




- Build and maintain long-term relationships with vendors to ensure quality, timely deliveries, and uninterrupted supply.
- Monitor supplier performance based on quality, pricing, responsiveness, and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Stores, Finance, and other departments to understand procurement requirements and ensure timely material availability.
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, monitor pricing trends, and explore cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, company procedures, statutory regulations, and audit requirements.
- Resolve vendor disputes and address issues related to quality, shortages, pricing, and delayed deliveries.
- Maintain procurement records, contracts, quotations, and vendor documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Prepare procurement MIS reports, purchase analyses, vendor performance reports, and cost-saving reports for management review.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance procurement efficiency and reduce procurement costs.
- Support inventory planning by coordinating with stores to minimize stock shortages and excess inventory.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, MS Office, and ERP/Procurement software.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and commercial awareness.

Candidates with experience in any of the following industries will be preferred:

- Transportation

- Bus Operations
- Automotive
- Commercial Vehicle Industry

Preferred Candidate Profile

- 3–4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations.
- Experience in the transportation, logistics, fleet management, or automotive industry is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to negotiate favourable commercial terms and build long-term supplier relationships.
- Strong network of vendors and suppliers for transportation-related products and services.
- Good understanding of procurement documentation, vendor management, and inventory coordination.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-driven, proactive, and committed to delivering cost-effective procurement solutions.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
