Job Purpose

The Facade Designer is responsible for designing, developing, and coordinating building facade systems, including curtain walls, windows, doors, cladding, glazing, aluminium systems, and other architectural facade elements. The role involves preparing detailed drawings, 3D models, technical specifications, and coordinating with architects, consultants, structural engineers, fabrication teams, and site teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Study architectural drawings, project specifications, and client requirements.
- Develop conceptual and detailed designs for building facade systems.
- Prepare facade layouts, elevations, sections, details, and shop drawings.
- Design curtain wall, unitized facade, stick system, aluminium windows and doors, ACP/HPL cladding, glass facades, louvers, skylights, and other facade systems.
- Prepare 2D drawings using AutoCAD and 3D models using relevant design software.
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, and project teams.
- Select appropriate materials, glass types, aluminium profiles, sealants, gaskets, brackets, and fixing systems.




- Perform preliminary calculations related to wind load, glass thickness, aluminium sections, and structural requirements, where applicable.
- Prepare BOQ and material quantity requirements.
- Support fabrication and installation teams by providing technical drawings and clarifications.
- Review shop drawings and fabrication drawings before production.
- Resolve design-related issues during fabrication and site installation.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, quality requirements, and applicable building codes.
- Attend technical meetings with clients, consultants, architects, and internal project teams.
- Maintain proper documentation, revision control, and design records.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Certification or specialized training in facade design will be an added advantage.

Required Experience

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
