Job Summary

As a Freight Broker, you will be responsible for managing freight shipments by connecting shippers with reliable carriers while ensuring cost-effective and timely transportation solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience in the U.S. transportation industry. You will play a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction, optimizing carrier relationships, and contributing to the company's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with shippers, carriers, and transportation partners.
- Source and secure carrier capacity using load boards such as DAT One and Truckstop.
- Negotiate freight rates with customers and carriers to maximize profitability while maintaining competitive pricing.
- Coordinate and manage shipments from pickup through final delivery.
- Monitor shipments proactively and communicate updates to customers and carriers.
- Resolve shipment delays, service issues, and operational challenges in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate shipment records and documentation using Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Ensure compliance with FMCSA regulations, company policies, and customer requirements.




- Build long-term relationships with carriers and customers through exceptional service.
- Identify opportunities to expand existing customer accounts and generate new business.
- Collaborate with dispatch, operations, and customer service teams to ensure smooth freight movement.
- Analyze market trends, lane pricing, and capacity to make informed brokerage decisions.
- Achieve monthly revenue, margin, and performance targets.

Required Qualifications

- Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Freight Broker, Carrier Sales Representative, or in a similar logistics role.
- Freshers with prior experience in Sales, Business Development, International Sales, or Customer Acquisition are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong knowledge of the U.S. freight brokerage industry and transportation operations is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with DAT One, Truckstop, load boards, and Transportation Management Systems (TMS) is an advantage.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Ability to work in a target-driven, fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

- Established network of shippers and motor carriers.
- Experience in carrier sales, customer sales, or freight account management.
- Knowledge of FTL,



LTL, Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed, and specialized freight operations.
- Understanding of freight pricing strategies, market conditions, and lane management.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales and profitability goals.
