We are looking for a Python Backend Developer to build secure, scalable, and high-performance backend systems and RESTful APIs that power up-to-date web applications and SaaS products.
You will work closely with frontend developers, product teams, and other engineers to design reliable APIs, background processing systems, third-party integrations, and data-driven backend services.
Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable RESTful APIs using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework (DRF).
- Build APIs for integration with Next.js and React.js applications, collaborating on API contracts, versioning, validation, and error handling.
- Develop robust Python services, utilities, and automation scripts.
- Implement appropriate concurrency patterns using multithreading, multiprocessing, and asyncio where required.
- Design and implement authentication, authorization, request validation, rate limiting, and other API security best practices.
- Work with PostgreSQL/MySQL to design schemas, optimize queries, and improve database performance.
- Develop and manage background jobs and asynchronous processing using tools such as Celery and Redis.
- Integrate and work with third-party APIs and external services.
- Implement caching strategies and performance optimizations for high-traffic APIs.
- Build reliable backend workflows for data processing, reporting, automation, and application features.
- Ensure backend systems have appropriate logging, monitoring, error handling, and observability.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving coding standards and engineering practices.
- Collaborate with frontend and product teams to understand requirements and deliver reliable backend solutions.
- Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to improving system reliability and scalability.





Required Skills & Experience

- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Hands-on experience with Django, including ORM, models, migrations, authentication, and application architecture.
- Practical experience with Django REST Framework, including:
- Serializers
- APIViews / ViewSets
- Permissions
- Authentication
- Throttling
- Validation
- Proven experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
- Good understanding of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Experience with database schema design, query optimization, and ORM performance.
- Practical understanding of Python concurrency:
- Multithreading
- Multiprocessing
- Asyncio
- Experience with Git-based development workflows.
- Understanding of API security, authentication, authorization, and rate limiting.
- Good understanding of software development best practices, debugging, and code quality.

Desirable / Nice to Have

- Experience with FastAPI.
- Experience with Celery and Redis for background processing and task queues.
- Experience working with Docker and containerized applications.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and external services.
- Experience collaborating with Next.js / React.js teams and understanding frontend-backend integration patterns.
- Familiarity with caching strategies and performance optimization.
- Experience with API polling, asynchronous workflows, and rate-limited external APIs.
- Experience working with high-traffic or data-intensive applications.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
- Experience with web crawlers, scraping, analytics platforms, reporting systems, or large-scale data processing.
- Exposure to cloud platforms and Linux-based server environments.

What We're Looking For
We are looking for a developer who can take ownership of backend features, understand business and technical requirements, write clean and maintainable code, and contribute to building reliable and scalable systems.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per month
