Phnk is building a social platform centered on genuine human connection, powered by KAI, our AI companion. We’re an independent, self-funded team working on something ambitious in the social/AI space — currently expanding into the US market.

The Role

We’re looking for a Communications Manager to own our external voice — press, partnerships, community, and brand narrative — as we scale from early product to public launch. You’ll shape how Phnk are understood by media, users, and the market at a pivotal growth stage.

Responsibilities

- Develop and execute external communications strategy (PR, media relations, thought leadership)
- Draft and manage press releases, founder messaging, and public statements
- Build relationships with journalists, tech press, and industry influencers
- Manage brand voice across public channels (website, social, community)




- Support US market entry with localized communications strategy
- Coordinate messaging around product launches and milestones
- Monitor media coverage and industry conversation; flag opportunities and risks

Qualifications

- 2+ years in communications, PR, or brand strategy — startup or tech experience strongly preferred
- Excellent writing and storytelling ability; can translate complex product vision into compelling narrative
- Experience with both Indian and US media landscapes a plus
- Comfortable working directly with founders in a rapid-moving, resource-lean environment
- Genuine interest in AI, social platforms, and human connection
