Job Summary

We are looking for a Commissioning Engineer to manage and execute commissioning, testing, trial runs, troubleshooting, and start-up activities for WTP, STP, ETP, RO and other water & wastewater treatment plants. The candidate will coordinate with project, design, electrical, mechanical, O&M; teams, vendors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure successful plant commissioning and handover.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute pre-commissioning, commissioning, start-up and trial-run activities at project sites.
- Verify installation of equipment and systems as per approved drawings, P&IDs; and project specifications.
- Commission and test pumps, blowers, agitators, dosing systems, filters, RO systems, pipelines, valves, electrical panels and instruments.
- Conduct equipment testing and identify mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and process-related issues.
- Troubleshoot operational problems and coordinate with relevant teams for timely rectification.
- Monitor plant parameters such as flow, pressure, pH, chemical dosing and water quality during commissioning.
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors and clients for testing and commissioning activities.




- Conduct performance testing and ensure the plant achieves the required operating parameters.
- Prepare commissioning checklists, test reports, punch lists and handover documents.
- Provide basic operational training to plant operators and client representatives.
- Ensure all commissioning activities are carried out safely and according to company and project requirements.
- Support the Project and O&M; teams during plant stabilization and final handover.
- Travel to different project sites as required for commissioning and troubleshooting.

Required Skills

- Valuable knowledge of WTP, STP, ETP and RO plant processes.
- Ability to read and understand P&IDs;, GA drawings and equipment specifications.
- Knowledge of pumps, blowers, valves, piping, chemical dosing and filtration systems.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of electrical panels and instrumentation will be an advantage.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to work at project sites and travel as required.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with experience in water/wastewater treatment plant commissioning, installation, project execution, trial runs and plant start-up will be preferred.
