We are looking for a CAD Design Intern to support our engineering and design team in developing 2D drawings, 3D models, mechanical components, and assemblies. The intern will get practical exposure to CAD design, fabrication, manufacturing, and product development.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and modify 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD models.
- Assist in designing mechanical components, assemblies, and structures.
- Prepare fabrication and manufacturing drawings under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Assist in preparing and updating BOM (Bill of Materials).
- Make design modifications based on engineering and project requirements.
- Read and understand mechanical drawings, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Coordinate with the production/fabrication team for design-related requirements.
- Assist in prototype development, testing, and design improvements.
- Maintain proper drawing records and revision control.
- Support senior engineers in new product development and ongoing design projects.
- Perform other design-related tasks as assigned by the reporting manager.
Skills Required
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks.
- Understanding of basic mechanical engineering and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of dimensions, tolerances, and basic GD&T; will be an advantage.
- Basic understanding of fabrication and manufacturing processes.
- Valuable analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and work on practical engineering projects.
Qualification
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Candidates currently pursuing their final year may also apply.
Experience
Freshers / 0–1 Year
Candidates with academic projects or previous CAD training will be preferred.
