About the role
We are hiring a purchase executive with experience in the pharmaceutical, nutrition, and cosmetic industry.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Develop, lead, and execute purchasing strategies
· Purchasing of source and buy materials, goods, and services on behalf of the employer to be resold or used in daily operations.
· Purchasing officers maintain stock levels, and may also conduct research, negotiate with vendors, and interview prospective suppliers.
· Conducting research on potential products, vendors, and services, and comparing price and quality to ensure the best deal.
· Meeting with vendors and clients to negotiate the best contracts.
· Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve the effectiveness
· Craft negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms
· Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation
· Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier.
· Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
· Assess, manage, and mitigate risks
· Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers
· Determine the quantity and timing of deliveries
· Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
Required Skills
· Proven working experience as a purchasing executive
· Experience in Pharma, Nutrition or Cosmetic Industry
· Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management
· A knack for negotiation and networking
· Working experience in vendor management
· Ability to gather and analyze data and to work with figures
Required Experience and Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 1 -3 years as purchase executive
BSc or MSc Pharma
Should know English, Kannada, and Hindi
