Position : Centralized Purchase Head

Reporting To : Head SCM

Purpose

To lead and manage the centralized procurement function across all manufacturing plants, ensuring

cost-effective sourcing, uninterrupted material availability, supplier development, contract

management, and procurement process standardization.

Key Responsibilities

 Develop and execute centralized procurement strategies for raw materials, consumables,

capital goods, and services.

 Lead supplier identification, evaluation, negotiation, and contract finalization.

 Ensure timely procurement to support production and business requirements.

 Drive cost reduction, value engineering, and spend optimization initiatives.

 Standardize purchasing processes, policies, and approval systems across all plants.

 Monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery, cost, and service.

 Collaborate with PPC, Production, Quality, Finance, and Stores teams to align procurement

plans.

 Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and audit standards.

 Manage vendor relationships and develop strategic sourcing partnerships.

 Lead procurement digitization and ERP-based purchasing controls.

Qualifications

 Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Commerce / Supply Chain.

 MBA / PGDM in Supply Chain, Operations, or Procurement (preferred).

 17+ years of procurement experience, including leadership of multi-plant purchasing

operations.
