JOB DESCRIPTION – LABORATORY TECHNICIAN

Designation: Laboratory Technician
Department: Laboratory / Teaching Laboratory
Reporting To: HOD / Professor / Laboratory In-charge

Job Purpose

To provide technical support for teaching, practical training and routine laboratory activities in the Ayurvedic College.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist faculty in UG/PG practical classes and demonstrations.
- Prepare and maintain laboratory materials, reagents, specimens and equipment.
- Operate, clean and maintain laboratory instruments.
- Maintain laboratory registers, stock and equipment records.




- Ensure proper storage and availability of chemicals, glassware and consumables.
- Follow laboratory safety, hygiene and waste-disposal procedures.
- Assist students and faculty during practical examinations and academic activities.
- Report equipment damage, shortages and safety issues to the Laboratory In-charge.
- Perform other duties assigned by the HOD / Principal.

Qualification

DMLT / B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology / relevant laboratory qualification, as applicable.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
