Job Title: Design Engineer – SolidCAM (Aerospace)

Company Overview:

We are a reputed Aerospace manufacturing and precision engineering company located in Bidadi, specializing in the design and machining of high-accuracy aerospace components. We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer with hands-on expertise in SolidCAM to support our design and manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and program CNC machining operations using SolidCAM integrated with SolidWorks.
- Create tool paths, simulation setups, and G-code for milling and turning operations for aerospace components.
- Design and modify 3D models, jigs, fixtures, and tooling as per aerospace standards.
- Optimize machining processes to ensure precision, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and design teams to validate CAM programs and ensure manufacturability.
- Analyze machining strategies to reduce cycle time and improve surface finish.
- Conduct tool selection, cutting parameter optimization, and post-processor verification.
- Review engineering drawings and customer specifications for program development.
- Troubleshoot machining or programming issues during production.
- Maintain proper data management, documentation, and version control of design and CAM files.





Required Skills and Competencies:

- Mandatory expertise in SolidCAM (3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis programming).
- Strong knowledge of SolidWorks for 3D modeling and integration with CAM.
- Understanding of aerospace machining processes, materials (Aluminum, Titanium, Inconel, etc.), and tolerances.
- Hands-on experience in CNC milling/turning operations and G-code validation.
- Ability to interpret GD&T;, engineering drawings, and toolpath simulations.
- Familiarity with cutting tools, fixtures, and work-holding design.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented setting.

Qualifications:

- Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in SolidCAM programming and design within an Aerospace or Precision Engineering company.
