Role Overview

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Junior Video Editor to join our video production team.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of video editing, social media content, pacing, music, transitions, and visual storytelling. You should be someone who follows current Instagram and YouTube trends and understands how to make content engaging and attention-grabbing.

Key Responsibilities

1. Video Editing

* Edit Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, social media videos, advertisements, and other digital content.

* Assemble raw footage into engaging and well-paced videos.

* Add transitions, music, sound effects, text, subtitles, and basic visual effects.

* Follow creative briefs and instructions provided by Senior Editors, Strategists, and the production team.

* Make revisions based on feedback and ensure final videos meet quality standards.

2. Social Media Content

* Stay updated with current Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, editing styles, trends, transitions, and formats.

* Understand basic principles of creating content that holds audience attention.

* Adapt videos into different formats and aspect ratios for various platforms.

* Understand the importance of hooks, pacing, captions, and retention in short-form content.

3. Creative Collaboration

* Work closely with Senior Video Editors, Creative Strategists, Cinematographers,



Designers, and Account Managers.

* Assist the team during post-production workflows.

* Understand creative concepts and contribute ideas wherever appropriate.

* Take feedback positively and implement revisions efficiently.

4. Post-Production

* Organize raw footage, project files, graphics, music, and other assets.

* Perform basic color correction and audio cleanup.

* Ensure videos are exported in the correct resolution, aspect ratio, and format.

* Maintain proper file organization and project backups.

5. Content Adaptation

* Resize and adapt videos for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Stories, advertisements, and other digital formats.

* Create multiple versions of content when required.

* Follow platform-specific specifications and brand guidelines.

Software Requirements

Mandatory

* Adobe Premiere Pro

* Basic knowledge of Adobe After Effects

Preferred

* DaVinci Resolve

* Adobe Photoshop

* CapCut or other short-form editing tools

* AI-powered video editing tools

Candidates should be comfortable learning recent software and tools as required.

Key Qualifications / Mandatory Skills

* Basic to intermediate proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.

* Basic understanding of Adobe After Effects.

* Strong understanding of video editing fundamentals.

* Good sense of pacing, timing, transitions, and visual flow.

* Understanding of Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.

* Basic knowledge of sound design and audio editing.

* Basic understanding of color correction.

* Good attention to detail.

* Ability to work under deadlines and handle multiple projects.

* Willingness to learn and improve quickly.

* Strong communication and teamwork skills.





* Creative mindset and interest in digital content.

Preferred Skills

* Previous experience working with a digital marketing or creative agency.

* Experience editing branded content or advertisements.

* Understanding of current social media trends.

* Basic knowledge of motion graphics.

* Knowledge of AI tools used in video editing and content creation.

* Experience working with footage from qualified cameras.

Experience & Education

* 0–2 years of professional video editing experience.

* Freshers with a strong portfolio/showreel may be considered.

* Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or certification in Film, Mass Communication, Animation, Media, Design, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

* A strong portfolio/showreel is more key than formal qualifications.

Work Requirements

* Full-time position.

* Work from office at MBP, Mahape, Navi Mumbai.

* No hybrid/WFH arrangement.

* Comfortable working in a fast-paced creative agency environment.

* Able to manage deadlines and occasional urgent requirements.

* Immediate or short-notice joining preferred.
