Role Description This is a full-time, in office General Physician role based in Patna. The General Physician will perform daily outpatient and inpatient consultations, including history taking, physical examinations, diagnosis, and formulation of treatment plans. Responsibilities include prescribing medications, ordering and interpreting investigations, monitoring patient progress, and coordinating care with specialists and nursing staff. The physician will participate in ward rounds, manage common acute and chronic conditions, and provide clear communication and counseling to patients and families. Additional duties may include maintaining accurate medical records, adhering to clinical protocols, supporting emergency care when required, and contributing to infection control and quality improvement activities.

- Candidates should possess strong clinical skills in general medicine, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
- Candidates should possess skills in patient communication, counseling, and empathetic bedside manner to ensure clear, respectful, and inclusive interactions.
- Candidates should possess skills in clinical documentation, medical record keeping, and use of hospital information systems or electronic health records.
- Candidates should possess skills in teamwork and collaboration, including effective coordination with surgeons, nurses, technicians, and administrative staff.
- Candidates should possess skills in basic emergency management, triage, and stabilization of patients prior to referral or admission.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from an accredited institution, with valid registration from the appropriate medical council.
- Postgraduate qualification in internal medicine or related specialty is an advantage but not mandatory, depending on experience.
- Relevant clinical experience as a General Physician or Duty Doctor in a hospital setting, preferably including exposure to surgical and laparoscopic care environments.
- Commitment to ethical practice, continuous learning, adherence to clinical guidelines, and participation in hospital quality and safety initiatives.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or shifts as required to support patient care and hospital operations.
