Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced EDI Developer / EDI Integration Engineer to design, develop, implement, and support Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) solutions for enterprise customers. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with EDI standards, B2B integrations, mapping, translation, and managed file transfer (MFT) solutions. The role involves working with internal teams and external trading partners to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable B2B data exchange.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain EDI integrations for enterprise applications.
Develop and support EDI mappings, transformations, and business processes.
Configure and manage trading partner onboarding, communication protocols, and document
exchange.
Implement and support EDI transactions such as Purchase Orders, Invoices, Advance Ship Notices (ASN), and Order Acknowledgements.
Monitor EDI transactions, troubleshoot production issues, and resolve data transmission failures.
Work closely with business users, customers, vendors, and trading partners to support integration requirements.
Perform EDI testing, validation, deployment, and production support.
Ensure compliance with EDI standards and business requirements.
Create technical documentation, mapping specifications, and operational procedures.
Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, and performance optimization.
Required Skills:
8+ years of experience in EDI/B2B integration projects across retail, manufacturing, supply chain,
logistics, or healthcare domains.
Strong experience in requirement analysis, mapping design, development, testing, deployment, and production support of EDI transactions.
Analyze business requirements and prepare/review MRS (Mapping Requirement Specification)
documents.
Design, develop, validate, and support EDI integrations using ANSI X12 standards.
Perform end-to-end mapping, transformation, testing, and troubleshooting of EDI transactions.
Coordinate with business users, trading partners, functional teams, and technical teams during
implementation and support phases.
Conduct impact analysis for recent requirements, enhancements, and partner onboarding activities.
Support production issues, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with EDI standards, trading partner guidelines, and business requirements.
Experience in EDI data mapping, validation rules, code conversions, and business process flows.
Strong understanding of EDI segments, loops, qualifiers, control structures, and trading partner
implementation guides.
Experience with EDI translation/B2B integration tools such as IBM Sterling, Axway, Seeburger,
Gentran, Boomi EDI, OpenText, or similar platforms.
Good understanding of AS2, SFTP, FTP/S, VAN connectivity, and communication protocols
Good to Have
Experience with Managed File Transfer (MFT) platforms such as Axway SecureTransport or IBM
Sterling Secure Proxy.
Knowledge of APIs and REST/SOAP web services.
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
Familiarity with cloud integration platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Experience with CI/CD tools and Git.
Exposure to logistics, supply chain, manufacturing, retail, or healthcare domains.
