Sr. Database Administrator Sr. Database Administrator

Job Duties
- APPLY Work with database management systems software to determine ways to organize and store data; gather and interpret functional specifications and user requirements; supervise design of logical and physical database structures using Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, DB2, and other relational databases, on networked PCs and workstations in Windows, Linux, and UNIX;
- oversee development of user interfaces and systems features using MySQL, SQL, Erwin, Rational Transparent Quest, Clear Case, Crystal Reports, PL/ SQL, and related client- server tools; oversee creation of internet/ intranet functionality using
- HTML, XML, Java Script, VB Script, C, VB, ASP, Perl, and related web tools;
- test and coordinate modifications, and troubleshoot new and existing database systems; oversee data integration from outdated systems into new systems;




- design and implement database backup and recovery solutions using Tivoli, RMAN, Shell Scripting, and related tools;
- ensure the performance of the system, and assist team in adding new users to the system, as necessary.

Minimum Education Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
- will accept a bachelor equivalent based on a combination of education as determined by a professional evaluation service;
- Experience Five (5) years of progressive experience in the position above, or as a Software Engineer, Developer, Programmer, or in a related occupation;
- Other Requirements Experience must include work with UNIX, Oracle, MySQL, JavaScript, and Perl;
