About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and hands-on Farm Manager to efficiently oversee the day-to-day operations of our 25-acre coconut plantation. The ideal candidate will proactively manage cultivation, irrigation, labour, and administration while continuously working to keep the plantation healthy and productive.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the plantation is adequately and consistently irrigated at all times.
- Manage plant health closely and promptly address any issues affecting the coconut plants.
- Supervise and coordinate labour effectively to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Diagnose and swiftly resolve irrigation problems across the farm.
- Reliably manage irrigation motors and monitor power usage.
- Handle farm administration diligently and maintain accurate records.
- Oversee fertilizer application appropriately and on schedule.
- Carefully manage and track farm revenue.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate must be a resourceful problem solver who is genuinely passionate about agriculture.
- Transport: A two-wheeler (bike) and a valid bike licence are mandatory for this role. A car licence will be considered an added advantage.
- Communication: A smartphone is required for regular communication.
- Language Skills: Solid written communication in English is essential. Working knowledge of Tamil and Hindi will be an advantage.
- Education: Any Indian degree.
- Experience: Prior knowledge of farming will be an advantage.
