JOB DESCRIPTION — STORE INCHARGE

Company: BARKO The Pet Store, Panchkula

Reports to: Owner

Location: SCO 106, Sector 11

Role in one line: Runs the store day-to-day — sales, staff, stock, and customers — so the owner doesn't have to be present for it to run well.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & customers

- Drive daily store sales; upsell food, accessories, grooming packages
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and product advice
- Build repeat customers (regulars are the store's backbone)

Stock & inventory

- Track stock levels; flag low/fast-moving items for reorder
- Receive deliveries, check quantities against invoices, catch shortages
- Prevent dead stock, expiry (pet food/meds), and pilferage

Staff & operations

- Supervise counter staff, groomers, and delivery boys on shift
- Set daily duties, manage attendance and shift rosters
- Open/close store,



ensure cleanliness and display standards

Cash & reporting

- Handle billing, daily cash reconciliation, and POS
- Share a short daily sales + stock report with owner
- Coordinate grooming appointments and delivery dispatch

Requirements

Comfortable with billing software / POS and basic Excel/WhatsApp reporting

- Trustworthy with cash and stock — this is the #1 non-negotiable
- Valuable spoken Hindi (English a plus), presentable, customer-friendly
- Able to lead a small team and stay calm under rush
- Pet affinity a bonus, not mandatory

Salary: approximately ₹15,000–25,000/month + sales incentive, based on experience.
