Welder – Fire Fighting Work Job RoleA Welder – Fire Fighting Work is responsible for fabrication, installation, repair, and maintenance of metal piping and supports used in fire-fighting systems.

Key Job Responsibilities:

- Welding and fabrication of MS/GI fire-fighting pipelines and supports.
- Installation and modification of fire hydrant and sprinkler piping.
- Cutting, grinding, fitting, and welding of pipes and structural supports.
- Fabrication of pipe clamps, brackets, supports, frames, and other required items.
- Repair of damaged or leaking fire-fighting pipelines.
- Carrying out welding work as per approved drawings and site instructions.
- Assisting technicians/engineers during installation and maintenance of fire pumps, hydrants, valves, and piping systems.
- Maintaining proper alignment, level, and joint quality of pipelines.
- Following all fire safety,



electrical safety, PPE, and hot-work safety procedures.
- Maintaining welding machines, gas cutting equipment, tools, and accessories.
- Supporting testing, commissioning, and rectification work of fire-fighting systems.
- Maintaining cleanliness and safety at the work site.

Required Skills:

- MIG/ARC welding knowledge preferred.
- Gas cutting and pipe fabrication skills.
- Ability to read basic drawings and measurements.
- Knowledge of MS/GI pipe fitting and fabrication.
- Experience in fire-fighting, plumbing, or industrial piping work preferred.
- Ability to work at height and at different project sites.
- Positive teamwork and discipline.
