Role Description This is a full time, on-site role based in Noida for a VMC (Vertical Machining Center) Operator. The VMC Operator will set up and operate CNC vertical machining centers to produce precision components as per drawings and specifications, ensuring optimal machine parameters and tool selection. Typical responsibilities include loading and unloading workpieces, performing basic programming or program adjustments, monitoring machine operations, and conducting routine inspections and measurements to maintain quality standards.
The role involves performing daily maintenance checks, reporting machine issues, coordinating with production and maintenance teams, and maintaining accurate production and process records. The operator is expected to follow all safety protocols, maintain a clean work area, and contribute to continuous improvement in machining efficiency and product quality.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong technical skills in CNC/VMC operation, including machine setup, basic programming or program editing, and tooling knowledge.
- Candidates should possess skills in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, using measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges), and applying quality control procedures.
- Candidates should possess practical skills in routine machine maintenance, troubleshooting common machining issues, and following preventive maintenance schedules.
- Candidates should possess skills in shop-floor safety practices, handling materials and tools safely, and adherence to company safety and compliance standards.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and production staff.
- Relevant ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or related discipline; prior experience as a VMC or CNC operator in manufacturing or engineering environments is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with machining for packaging, printing, or engineering components and willingness to work in shifts as per production requirements are advantageous.
