Video Editor - JD

About the Role

We're a fast-growing digital marketing agency looking for a Video Editor who can also design motion graphics someone who can cut a punchy reel in Premiere in the morning and build a slick animated explainer in After Effects by the afternoon. You've worked on brands before, know how to turn raw footage into something worth watching, and can conceptualise a video, not just execute one.

Key Responsibilities

Editing & Post-Production

- Craft engaging and creative video edits from raw footage for social, web, and paid campaigns.
- Edit raw footage into scroll-stopping content across formats.
- Build engaging and creative transitions that suit the pace and tone of the content.
- Handle color grading, audio mixing, and finishing to a client-ready standard.

Motion Graphics & Design
- Design motion graphics, 2D animation, title sequences, and lower thirds that elevate the story.
- Prep and create assets in Illustrator/Photoshop as needed.

Sound & Mood
- Select and add engaging, interesting music suited to the mood and concept of each video.
- Balance and mix audio to match the tone of the edit.

Concept & Ideation
- Conceptualise and storyboard videos from brief to execution.
- Partner with the creative team from concept and storyboard through final delivery.
- Bring ideas grounded in brand understanding, not just execution skill.

Project & Team Collaboration
- Keep projects organised with file structure, asset libraries, and version control.




- Turn around feedback quickly without losing creative quality.
- Stay sharp on what's trending in social formats and motion design.
- Manage multiple briefs simultaneously without dropping quality.

Requirements

- 2+ years editing video professionally, with motion graphics work you can show us.
- Experience editing video for brands, with an ability to craft engaging, on-brand edits from raw footage.
- A portfolio or reel that demonstrates range; we care more about this than your resume.
- Solid Premiere Pro and After Effects skills. Comfort in Illustrator/Photoshop for asset prep.
- Agency, production house, or in-house brand experience is a plus, not a must.
- DaVinci Resolve knowledge is a bonus, not a requirement.
- An organised, clear communicator who can juggle a few briefs at once without dropping quality.
