About the Role

We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and technically skilled Video Editor who can independently take projects from raw footage to final delivery. The ideal candidate should have a solid sense of storytelling, pacing, music, sound, colour, and visual aesthetics, along with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. The role will involve editing government films, documentaries, corporate films, TVCs, promotional videos, social media content, and other digital projects .

Key Responsibilities

Video Editing & Post-Production

- Edit raw footage into engaging, polished, and high-quality videos.
- Create impactful edits for documentaries, ad films, corporate films, government campaigns, and digital content.
- Develop strong narratives through effective pacing, sequencing, and visual flow.
- Prepare rough cuts, fine cuts, and final edits as per project Requirements.

Creative Storytelling

- Translate scripts, concepts, and creative briefs into compelling visual stories.
- Work closely with directors and creative teams to execute the desired creative vision.
- Suggest creative approaches and editing techniques to improve the overall narrative.

Audio & Visual Enhancement

- Sync footage with dialogues, voiceovers, music, and sound effects.
- Add appropriate transitions, graphics, motion elements, and visual effects.
- Perform basic colour correction and visual enhancement.
- Maintain clean, balanced,



and consistent audio throughout the video.

Collaboration & Feedback

- Coordinate with directors, scriptwriters, cinematographers, and production teams.
- Understand and implement creative and client feedback accurately.
- Participate in creative discussions and post-production planning.

Project Management

- Organize footage, project files, timelines, assets, and backups systematically.
- Manage multiple projects and deliver work within defined timelines.
- Maintain proper file naming, version control, and project archives.

Quality Control

- Ensure all videos meet Studio Underground's creative and technical standards.
- Review final edits for continuity, accuracy, visual consistency, audio quality, and storytelling.
- Ensure videos are correctly formatted, exported, and ready for final delivery.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Film Editing, Mass Communication, Multimedia, or a related field (preferred) .
- 1–4 years of professional video editing experience.

Technical Skills

Proficiency in:

- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe After Effects
- Adobe Photoshop
- DaVinci Resolve (preferred)

Additional Knowledge of:

- Colour correction and basic colour grading
- Audio editing and sound design
- Motion graphics, infographics, and basic animation
- Video codecs, export settings, and delivery formats

Required Skills

- Strong storytelling and visual narrative abilities.
- Good understanding of pacing, rhythm, transitions, and shot selection.
- Strong eye for detail and visual aesthetics.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

- Creative thinking and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the production team.
