Video Editor – Reels, Shorts & YouTube

Salary: ₹2,000 – ₹10,000 per month

We are looking for a creative and experienced Video Editor to join our team and create high-quality content for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and YouTube videos.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, audience retention, hooks, captions, B-roll, sound effects, and modern social-media editing styles.

We are looking for someone who can take raw footage and turn it into content that is engaging, professional, and attention-grabbing.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other short-form content
- Edit long-form YouTube videos
- Create strong hooks and engaging openings
- Add captions, B-roll, graphics, transitions, zooms, sound effects, and music
- Maintain strong pacing and audience retention throughout the video
- Repurpose long-form videos into multiple short-form videos
- Follow current social-media trends and editing styles
- Improve audio quality and perform basic color correction
- Understand the content and make creative editing decisions independently
- Work according to deadlines and deliver projects on time
- Make revisions based on feedback

Requirements
- 6 months of experience in video editing
- Strong portfolio of Reels, Shorts, and YouTube videos
- Good understanding of storytelling and video pacing




- Knowledge of social-media content and retention
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Positive communication skills
- Ability to take feedback and improve quickly

Editing Software Experience with any of the following:
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- After Effects
- DaVinci Resolve
- Final Cut Pro
- CapCut

Your editing skills matter more than the software you use.

Bonus Skills

- Motion graphics
- After Effects
- Thumbnail design
- Sound design
- Color grading
- AI video/editing tools
- Experience with YouTube analytics and audience retention

What We’re Looking For We want an editor who understands that good editing is not just about cutting clips together.

You should understand

Hook → Story → Pacing → Retention → Payoff

You should be able to look at raw footage and decide what to cut, what to emphasize, where to add B-roll, when to change the visual, and how to keep the viewer watching.
