About the Role

EXR Games & Academy is looking for a passionate and industry-oriented VFX / Animation Trainer to join our academic team in Calicut. The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of animation and VFX workflows and the ability to train students through hands-on, project-based learning.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver practical and engaging training in VFX, 2D/3D Animation, and related creative workflows.
- Teach students through live demonstrations, assignments, and real-world projects.
- Guide students in developing portfolios and industry-ready projects.
- Prepare lesson plans, assignments, project briefs, and assessments.
- Mentor students individually and provide constructive feedback.
- Keep students updated with current industry tools, techniques, and workflows.
- Monitor student progress, attendance, assignments, and project completion.
- Collaborate with the academic team to improve course content and delivery.
- Participate in workshops, masterclasses, and academic activities conducted by EXR.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of VFX and Animation fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with relevant industry software such as:
- Adobe After Effects
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Photoshop
- Blender / Maya / 3ds Max
- Substance Painter or similar tools
- Understanding of 3D modelling, texturing, lighting, rendering, compositing, motion graphics, and animation is an advantage.
- Good communication and presentation skills.




- Strong mentoring and student-handling ability.
- Ability to explain technical concepts in a straightforward and practical manner.
- Portfolio/showreel demonstrating previous work.

Eligibility
- 1–3 years of professional or teaching experience in VFX, Animation, Motion Graphics, or a related field.
- Diploma / Degree / Certification in Animation, VFX, Multimedia, Game Art, or a related discipline preferred.
- Freshers with exceptional portfolios and strong practical skills may also be considered.

Preferred Candidate
- Industry professionals who are passionate about teaching.
- Candidates with experience working on VFX, animation, game art, motion graphics, or digital media projects.
- Candidates who can mentor students and help them build industry-ready portfolios.
- Calicut/Kerala-based candidates preferred.
