Alcor is seeking an experienced Transition Manager to lead and govern the end-to-end service transition lifecycle within the Technology Operations function. This role requires a very robust consultant to help define and deliver on Transition requirements for all change impacting Operations, working daily with operational stakeholders and acting as a trusted and detailed individual the client can depend on.

This role is critical in ensuring seamless transition of services:

- From build to operations
- From operations to retirement

You will work cross-functionally with delivery teams, operations, and stakeholders to ensure minimal disruption, operational readiness, and risk mitigation throughout the transition lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Own and manage the end-to-end Service Transition lifecycle across multiple projects and programs
- Identify and onboard projects requiring transition governance and support
- Partner with Operations Managers, Project Managers, and vendors to:
- Advise, consult and define transition scope

- Develop detailed transition plans
- Ensure alignment with operational readiness

- Drive
- Risk assessment and mitigation planning

- Resource planning and forecasting

- Governance and stakeholder management
- Conduct Operational Impact Assessments for new initiatives prior to delivery kickoff
- Provide regular status updates, reporting, and stakeholder communication for all in-flight transitions
- Act as the primary point of contact (POC) for transition-related risks and escalations




- Maintain and continuously enhance the Transition Framework, adapting to evolving business and operational needs
- Develop and manage transition documentation, playbooks, and best practices
- Align transition priorities with business goals and customer expectations
- Drive adoption of automation and AI-led efficiencies within the transition lifecycle
- Own and manage transition-related risks, ensuring visibility and resolution with leadership

Required Skills & Qualifications

- 8+ years of experience in IT Service Management, Service Delivery, or Transition Management
- Strong understanding of Service Transition processes (ITIL framework preferred)
- Proven experience managing complex transitions in enterprise environments
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and global stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

- ITIL Certification (v3/v4) strongly preferred
- Experience with ServiceNow (ITSM or related modules)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Oracle)
- Familiarity with automation and AI-driven operations
- Experience in managed services or enterprise IT environments
