Job Purpose To design, develop and deliver effective training programs for Home Loan sales, credit, operations and relationship teams. The role will build employee capability across the complete home-loan lifecycle, improve productivity and customer experience, and ensure adherence to the bank's credit, operational, compliance and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Training Strategy & Planning
- Conduct Training Need Analysis (TNA) for Home Loan teams across branches/regions.
- Develop annual, quarterly and monthly training calendars.
- Design induction, product, process, refresher and behavioral training programs.
- Identify skill gaps through business performance, audits and employee assessments.
2. Home Loan Product Training
- Train teams on:
- Home Purchase Loans
- Home Construction Loans
- Home Improvement/Extension Loans
- Balance Transfer
- Top-up Loans
- Loan Against Property (LAP)
- Explain eligibility, pricing, documentation, customer profiling and product features.
- Keep teams updated on new products, policy changes and market developments.
3. Credit & Underwriting Training
- Train employees on basic credit appraisal and underwriting concepts.
- Cover income assessment, banking analysis, credit bureau reports, FOIR/DTI, LTV and eligibility calculations.
- Explain customer risk assessment and early identification of potential credit risks.
- Train teams on credit policy and documentation requirements.
4. End-to-End Process Training
- Train employees on the complete loan lifecycle: Lead Generation Login Documentation Credit Appraisal Sanction Legal/Technical Agreement Disbursement Servicing
- Train teams on LOS/LMS and other internal banking applications.
- Improve file quality and reduce errors, rework and TAT.
5. Sales &
• Customer-Centric Training
- Develop sales capability of Relationship Managers, Branch Managers and Sales Officers.
- Conduct sessions on lead generation, customer profiling, need analysis and conversion.
- Provide coaching on objection handling, negotiation and closing.
- Conduct role plays and case studies based on real customer scenarios.
- Promote ethical selling and superior customer experience.
6. Compliance &
• Regulatory Training
- Ensure employees understand applicable RBI/NHB guidelines, KYC, AML, Fair Practices Code and internal policies.
- Conduct refresher training whenever regulatory or policy changes occur.

• Content Development
- Conduct classroom, virtual and blended learning programs.
- Develop PPTs, facilitator guides, case studies, assessments, quizzes and e-learning modules.
- Use practical home-loan cases to improve knowledge retention.
- Maintain training content in coordination with Credit, Operations, Compliance and Product teams.

• Performance Monitoring
- Conduct pre- and post-training assessments.
- Track training completion, knowledge scores and certification.

Stakeholder
Management
- Work closely with Sales, Credit, Operations, Product, Risk, Compliance and HR/L&D; teams.
- Coordinate with regional and branch leadership to identify capability gaps.
- Provide regular MIS and training effectiveness reports to senior management.
