Role

- Lead the Embedded & Electronics Engineering team with responsibility for Current Product Introduction (NPI), product engineering, team management and technical readiness of products from prototype through production, validation and field deployment.
- The Team Lead will manage and mentor junior embedded engineers while ensuring timely engineering delivery across the companys product portfolio.

Key Responsibilities NPI & Product Engineering

- Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from engineering prototype to production-ready products.
- Translate product requirements into electronics, embedded and system-level specifications.
- Define and review system architecture, microcontrollers/processors, electronic components and embedded subsystems.
- drive engineering builds through prototype, EVT, DVT, PVT and pilot-production stages.
- Lead PCB bring-up, firmware integration, subsystem integration and system-level troubleshooting.
- Ensure Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), serviceability and reliability.
- Drive BOM optimization, component selection, alternate-component qualification and lifecycle management.
- Coordinate technical activities with mechanical, software, AI, manufacturing, quality and regulatory teams.
- Support vendor evaluation and technical qualification of electronic components and assemblies.
- Ensure smooth engineering transfer from R&D; to production.

Team Leadership

- Manage and technically guide junior and mid-level Embedded Engineers.
- Allocate product ownership and engineering tasks across the embedded team.
- Review firmware, electronics designs, engineering calculations, schematics and test results.
- Conduct regular design reviews and technical problem-solving sessions.
- Monitor engineering timelines, deliverables and closure of technical issues.
- Mentor engineers in structured debugging, verification, documentation and product-development practices.




- Ensure accountability for assigned product development and maintenance.

Verification, Validation & Compliance
- Define product verification, reliability and engineering-validation strategies.
- Review test plans, verification protocols and engineering test reports.
- Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for critical system failures.
- Support EMI/EMC, electrical safety, environmental and product certification activities.
- Ensure engineering readiness for clinical validation and field deployment.
- Maintain requirement-to-design-to-verification traceability where applicable.

Released Product & Field Support

- Oversee technical maintenance of released products.
- Review field failures, customer issues and recurring product problems.
- Drive ECO/ECN, design improvements and corrective/preventive engineering actions.
- Ensure appropriate firmware version control and configuration management.
- Support production teams during assembly, calibration, testing and troubleshooting.
- Participate in critical customer installations and field validation when required.

Technical Expectations

- Strong understanding of microcontrollers, embedded processors and system architecture.
- Strong proficiency in Embedded C/C++.
- UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, USB, RS-232/RS-485 and Ethernet.
- Analog and digital electronics.
- PCB design review, bring-up and board-level debugging.
- Component selection and lifecycle management.
- Power electronics, DC-DC conversion, protection and system power architecture.
- Battery systems, charging,



protection and BMS fundamentals.
- Motor, stepper, servo, solenoid and precision actuator-control systems.
- Pumps, valves, flow and pressure-control systems.
- Sensors, instrumentation and closed-loop control systems.
- Firmware debugging and hardware-software integration.
- Git/version control and embedded software release management.
- Experience using oscilloscopes, logic analysers, multimeters and other engineering test equipment.
- Strong understanding of structured root-cause analysis and engineering change management.

NPI Knowledge Expected Candidates should have practical exposure to:

- Prototype EVT DVT PVT Production transition
- BOM freeze and optimisation
- Component qualification and alternate sourcing
- DFM / DFA
- Production test strategy
- Design verification
- Reliability testing
- Pilot builds
- Manufacturing handover
- Engineering Change Orders / Engineering Change Notices
- Field feedback incorporation and product improvement

Preferred

- Experience in biomedical instrumentation, medical devices, diagnostic equipment, laboratory automation or regulated product development.
- Experience taking at least one electronics/embedded product from prototype to commercial production.
- Prior experience managing or mentoring embedded/electronics engineers.
- Exposure to medical-device verification, validation and regulatory documentation.
- Prior client-facing experience involving product demonstrations, installation, validation, troubleshooting, training or deployment.
- Positive client references/testimonials from previously delivered products or projects will be an added advantage.

Qualifications

- B.Tech / B.E. in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation or related field.
- M.Tech / M.E. in a relevant engineering discipline will be preferred
