Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Student Counselor role based in Surat.

The Student

Counselor will guide prospective students through course and institution selection, application processes, and documentation requirements for studying in New Zealand. Daily responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, explaining academic pathways and career outcomes, coordinating with education partners, and providing clear information about admission criteria, tests such as IELTS/PTE, and student visa procedures. The role involves responding to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person meetings,



maintaining accurate student records, and following up to ensure timely completion of each step.

The Student

Counselor will collaborate with immigration advisers and education specialists, participate in events or seminars, and contribute to a positive, supportive experience for students and their families.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Education-related skills for advising learners on suitable courses, institutions, and study pathways.
- Candidates should possess Career Counseling skills to help students understand future employment opportunities and align academic choices with long-term goals.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear spoken and written English, for conducting sessions and explaining complex processes simply.
- Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills to manage inquiries professionally, build trust with students and families, and ensure timely follow-up.
- Relevant qualifications in Education, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field are preferred.
- Prior experience in overseas education consulting or academic advising is an advantage.
- Ability to work in a structured, target-driven environment and maintain accurate records using basic computer applications and CRM tools.
- Knowledge of New Zealand’s education system, admission processes, and visa requirements will be considered a strong plus.
