Responsibilities

We are looking for a compassionate, skilled, and proactive Pediatric Special Educator to join our multidisciplinary team. The candidate will work with children with developmental, learning, communication, behavioural, and neurodevelopmental needs and will support their overall functional, academic, social, and school-readiness development.

The role involves working closely with children, parents, and other professionals including Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Speech-Language Therapists, Behaviour Therapists, and psychologists, wherever applicable.

Job Responsiblity

Conduct educational and developmental assessments to identify the child's strengths, needs, and areas requiring support.

Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and functional learning goals.

Plan and conduct structured one-to-one and group-based intervention sessions.

Work on

Support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, learning difficulties, developmental delays, intellectual disabilities, and other neurodevelopmental conditions.



Use evidence-based and child-centred teaching strategies according to the child's developmental level.

Modify teaching materials, activities, and learning environments according to individual needs.

Monitor and document the child's progress regularly and maintain accurate session records.

Maintain DSM / daily documentation and contribute to monthly progress reports.

Coordinate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure integrated intervention planning.

Participate in parent meetings and provide appropriate home-based learning strategies and recommendations.

Support parents in understanding their child's educational needs and progress.

Participate in Early Intervention Program (EIP) and School Readiness Program activities, wherever required.

Conduct group activities focusing on social skills, communication, classroom readiness, and peer participation.

Prepare educational resources, worksheets, visual supports, activity plans, and individualized learning materials.

Attend team meetings, case discussions, training sessions, and career development programs.

Maintain professional ethics, confidentiality, punctuality, and organizational policies.

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of child development and developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder and neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Ability to create individualized and functional learning goals.
- Good classroom and behaviour-management skills.
- Strong observation, documentation, and clinical communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Good communication and parent-counselling skills.
- Creative approach to activity planning and teaching.
- Patience, empathy, and a child-centred approach.
- Ability to manage children with varying levels of developmental and behavioural needs.

Required:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education / Special Education (Intellectual Disability) / Special Education (Autism Spectrum Disorder) or a related field.
- RCI registration is preferred/required as applicable to the role.
