This is a field-oriented role requiring regular visits to solar project sites for quality inspection, monitoring, and coordination. The employee will also be required to work from the office for quality documentation, reporting, record maintenance, and coordination with project and site teams.

Job Summary

Responsible for implementing and monitoring quality control activities during solar EPC project sites, ensuring that materials, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning comply with approved drawings, project specifications, applicable standards, ITPs, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Inspect incoming solar project materials such as PV modules, MMS/structures, inverters, DC/AC cables, transformers, HT/LT panels, earthing materials, and electrical equipment.
- Verify material quality, quantity, specifications, test certificates, and approved vendor documentation.
- Conduct inspections of module mounting structures, module installation, cable laying, cable termination, earthing, lightning protection, inverter installation, transformer installation, and electrical works.
- Ensure construction activities are carried out according to approved drawings, method statements, specifications, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
- Monitor torque tightening of structural and electrical connections and maintain torque records.
- Inspect cable routing, dressing, glanding, termination, ferruling, tagging,



and identification.
- Verify earthing and bonding arrangements and review earth resistance measurements.
- Witness and document electrical testing such as insulation resistance, continuity, polarity, string testing, cable testing, relay testing, and functional checks, as applicable.
- Coordinate with construction, engineering, commissioning, subcontractor, and client/consultant teams.
- Raise and follow up on NCRs, observations, punch points, and corrective/preventive actions.
- Review inspection requests and coordinate with client/consultant representatives for required hold/witness points.
- Maintain quality documentation including checklists, inspection reports, test reports, material inspection reports, NCRs, calibration records
- Participate in internal, client, and third-party quality audits.
- Monitor subcontractor workmanship and ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
