Role

Independently plan, execute and document software testing, verification and validation activities for healthcare and diagnostic applications, ensuring functional correctness, traceability, reliability and release readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Translate software/product requirements into structured test plans, test cases, acceptance criteria and verification protocols.

Perform functional, integration, system, regression, performance, usability and deployment testing across releases.

Conduct manual and automated testing of web applications, backend services, APIs, databases and integrated device-software workflows.

Verify REST APIs, database transactions, data integrity, user roles, access permissions, audit trails and critical security workflows.

Validate software installation, upgrade and deployment behaviour across development, staging, on-premise and production environments.

Identify, reproduce, document, prioritise and track defects through closure; verify fixes and perform regression testing.

Develop and maintain automated test scripts for repetitive, high-risk and release-critical workflows.

Maintain requirement-to-test traceability, verification evidence, defect records, test reports and release documentation.

Support release qualification, user acceptance testing (UAT), field validation and final software acceptance.

Coordinate with software, embedded, AI, product and client teams during integration, deployment and validation activities.





Core Technical Expectations

Strong understanding of software testing, verification, validation and defect-management methodologies.

Hands-on experience with manual testing and automation frameworks such as PyTest, Selenium or

Playwright.

Experience testing REST APIs using Postman or equivalent tools and validating SQL / NoSQL databases.

Working knowledge of Python for test automation and basic scripting.

Familiarity with Git, issue-tracking systems, Linux environments, Docker and software deployment workflows.

Ability to prepare clear test plans, test evidence, defect reports, traceability records and release-verification reports.

Experience in medical devices, healthcare software, diagnostic systems, laboratory automation or regulated product development.

Exposure to risk-based testing, cybersecurity testing, software validation documentation and standards such as IEC 62304 / ISO 13485.

Prior client-facing exposure during installation, product validation, UAT, training, field testing or deployment support.

Experience capturing and documenting client feedback and converting field observations into verification or product-improvement actions.

Positive client references or testimonials from previous validation/deployment projects will be an added advantage.

Qualifications

B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics or a related discipline; or MCA /

M.Sc. in a relevant field.

¢

Relevant testing/QA certifications will be an added advantage.
