Job Title : Software Engineer - Data

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Engineer specializing in Data to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) systems and strong SQL and PostgreSQL skills. This role requires a professional with excellent analytical skills, a service-oriented mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities Key Activities :

- Review inbound stories submitted for system updates.
- Analyze requirements, plan, and design system tables/components using techniques such as structured analysis, data modeling, and information engineering.
- Estimate time and effort to implement changes, document decisions, and communicate timelines.
- Design, build, and extend data models within the Varicent Incentive Compensation Management (ICM) platform.
- Plan and execute comprehensive testing for assigned enhancements to business applications.
- Leverage continuous improvement practices and techniques to enhance processes and solutions.
- Collaborate on designing and implementing data exchanges between Varicent ICM and other systems.

Preferred Skills (nice to have) :





- Demonstrated ability/understanding of Incentive Compensation Management Systems such as Varicent (preferred), SAP, Anaplan, NICE, etc.
- Solid SQL and PostgreSQL skills.
- Service-oriented; focused on anticipating, recognizing, and meeting people's needs, whether they are clients or internal stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong documentation skills for technical designs, system requirements, and testing procedures.

Qualifications :

- Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on data.
- Experience with Incentive Compensation Management Systems, especially Varicent, is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in SQL and PostgreSQL.
- Strong understanding of data modeling and information engineering techniques.
- Ability to analyze requirements, design solutions, and estimate implementation effort.
- Experience with testing and improving business applications.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
