JLL is seeking a talented and motivated Full Stack Developer 2 (P2) to join our Workplace Digital Technology (WDT) team. As a Full Stack Developer 2, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable web applications that support JLL's digital workplace platforms — working across both the front end and back end using React, Java, and microservices-based architectures.
You will work closely with product owners, architects, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features while contributing to long-term code health and technical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop responsive, high-performance user interfaces using React (Hooks, Context/Redux, TypeScript preferred)
- Design, build, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java, with hands-on experience in Spring Boot
- Design and implement microservices, ensuring scalability, resilience, and maintainability across distributed systems
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable code with comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests
- Collaborate with product and design teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions
- Participate in agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous improvement
- Champion “shift-left” quality practices by embedding testing early in the development lifecycle
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues across both front-end and back-end components in a timely manner
- Contribute to documentation, code reviews, and knowledge sharing within the engineering team
- Adhere to JLL's security, compliance, and operational standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 3–6 years of professional software development experience as a full stack developer
- Strong front-end development experience using React (or similar modern frameworks such as Angular, Next.js)
- Strong back-end development experience using Java, including hands-on work with Spring Boot
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs, and building and maintaining microservices architectures
- Experience with relational or NoSQL databases and data modeling
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, distributed team environment with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Experience with AI agents and integrating AI/ML capabilities into applications is a plus
