Role Description The Shipping Electrical role at Deepak Chem Tech Limited is a full-time, in office position based in Ahmedabad. The role involves overseeing electrical aspects of shipping operations, including inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment used in loading, unloading, and material handling. The professional in this role will coordinate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure electrical systems are safe, reliable, and compliant with relevant standards.

Daily tasks include monitoring electrical power supply, supporting electrical design changes for shipping facilities, maintaining documentation, and assisting in preventive and corrective maintenance activities.



The role also requires proactive identification of potential electrical issues and effective communication with internal stakeholders to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of electricity, including power distribution and safety practices, and the ability to apply this knowledge in industrial shipping environments.
- Competence in electrical design for industrial or logistics facilities, with the ability to interpret and create basic electrical diagrams and layouts.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, with practical experience in installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems.
- Familiarity with power generation and power backup systems relevant to shipping operations, including monitoring and basic troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with electrical equipment used in material handling, conveyor systems, and associated controls.
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Working knowledge of industrial safety standards and regulations, particularly related to electrical systems.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain accurate technical records, and communicate clearly in spoken and written English.
- Prior experience in industrial, chemical, or logistics environments is an advantage.
