Role: ServiceNow Developer & Tech Lead

Exp: 8-10 yrs

Locations: Chennai/Bangalore/Hyderabad

Required Technical Skill Set:

Strong experience in ServiceNow development and administration, with expertise in configuring and customizing core modules such as ITSM, Service Catalog, and CMDB. Proficient in JavaScript-based scripting, including Client Scripts, Business Rules, Script Includes, and UI Policies.

Hands-on experience in Flow Designer, Workflow automation, and Integration Hub, enabling efficient process automation. Skilled in REST and SOAP integrations, as well as working with MID Server for external system connectivity.

In-depth knowledge of data management (Import Sets, Transform Maps), access controls (ACLs, roles), and platform security best practices. Experience in creating reports, dashboards, and SLA configurations to support operational insights.

Familiar with Service Portal development (HTML, CSS, AngularJS) and modern UI enhancements. Understanding of ITIL processes, Agile methodologies, and ServiceNow best practices for scalable and maintainable solutions.

- Deep knowledge of ServiceNow architecture (multi-instance, multi-tenant)
- Strong hands-on experience with:
- ITSM, ITOM, ITBM/SPM, HRSD, CSM modules
- Understanding of ServiceNow data model (tables, relationships, CMDB)

1. Technical Development Skills

- Advanced scripting:




- JavaScript (server-side & client-side)
- Expertise in:
- Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts
- UI Policies, UI Actions
- Flow Designer & Workflows
- Knowledge of Scoped Applications & App Engine

1. Integration & API Skills

- Designing and implementing:
- REST/SOAP APIs
- IntegrationHub spokes
- Experience with:
- MID Server setup
- External system integrations

1. CMDB

Basic CMDB Knowledge

1. Solution & Architecture Design

Ability to:
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions
- Create end-to-end solution architecture diagrams

1. Security & Governance

Knowledge of:

- Access Control (ACLs), Data Security
- Instance security best practices

1. Leadership & Stakeholder Skills

- Lead technical teams and guide developers
- Collaborate with:
- Business stakeholders, product owners, and SMEs
- Mentor teams and enforce best practices

1. Certifications (Preferred)

- Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- Module-specific certifications (ITSM, CSM,etc.)
