Company Overview We are a talent acquisition and staff augmentation firm, and we are currently hiring on behalf of one of our clients, an organization in the telecommunications and enterprise IT space. Our client is looking to onboard a ServiceNow Developer across multiple locations in India. This will be remote job and can be offered as full-time, part-time, or contractual job.

Job Summary We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Developer to design, build, and maintain ServiceNow applications, workflows, and platform customizations. The ideal candidate has robust hands-on expertise across ITSM modules, integrations, CMDB/Discovery, and Service Portal development, and is comfortable owning solutions from requirements gathering through deployment and support.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain ServiceNow solutions, including custom applications, workflows, integrations, and platform-level configurations.
- Configure and continuously improve core ServiceNow ITSM modules such as Incident, Change, Problem, Request, and Knowledge Management.
- Design Service Catalog offerings, Record Producers, approval processes, and workflow automations to improve operational efficiency.
- Create and manage reliable integrations connecting ServiceNow with enterprise applications using standard API and IntegrationHub capabilities.
- Configure, manage, and enhance CMDB, Discovery, and Asset Management functionalities to maintain accurate and reliable configuration data.
- Design and customize ServiceNow Service Portal, UI Builder components, and user interfaces in line with business and usability requirements.
- Contribute across the complete solution lifecycle, including requirements analysis, solution architecture, development, testing, deployment, and post-release support.
- Investigate and resolve complex ServiceNow platform issues, providing L2/L3 technical support and ensuring timely restoration of application functionality.
- Implement and maintain ServiceNow security controls, including RBAC, ACLs, data policies, access governance, and platform compliance measures.




- Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including solution designs, SOPs, runbooks, deployment procedures, support guides, and knowledge base articles.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application, operations, and security teams on enterprise-wide automation initiatives.
- Enhance platform efficiency and service delivery by implementing standardized processes, automation initiatives, and ServiceNow best practices.

Required Skills

- 5+ years of practical experience in ServiceNow development, configuration, and platform administration.
- Strong hands-on expertise across ServiceNow ITSM, including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, Knowledge Management, and Service Catalog.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and Glide APIs, with experience working with Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Actions, Script Includes, UI Policies, and ACLs.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing workflows using Workflow Editor and Flow Designer.
- Solid understanding of IntegrationHub, REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, and MID Server for ServiceNow integrations.
- Hands-on experience managing CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, and Asset Management capabilities.
- Experience configuring and enhancing forms, service catalogs, Record Producers, notifications, approval processes, and related platform components.
- Knowledge of Service Portal, UI Builder, Employee Center, and development of customized widgets and user experiences.
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments and following structured ServiceNow development and deployment practices.
- Good understanding of ITIL frameworks and enterprise IT service management processes.
- Proven ability to diagnose production issues, perform root cause analysis,



resolve platform problems, and improve ServiceNow performance and stability.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information.

AI Experience
- Familiarity with ServiceNow’s built-in AI/ML capabilities (e.g., Predictive Intelligence, Virtual Agent) is a plus.
- Comfort using AI-assisted tools to speed up scripting, documentation, or troubleshooting, though not mandatory for this role.

Managerial Experience
- Experience collaborating across infrastructure, application, operations, and security teams on enterprise-wide initiatives.
- Comfortable owning solutions end to end, from requirements gathering through deployment and support.

Operational Experience
- Experience providing L2/L3 support for ServiceNow applications in production environments.
- Track record of performing root cause analysis and optimizing platform performance.
- Familiarity with maintaining platform security and governance through RBAC, ACLs, and data policies.

Qualifications

- A successful bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required.
- 5–10 years of relevant ServiceNow development and administration experience.

Certifications
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) (preferred).
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) (preferred).
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS-ITSM) (preferred).
- ServiceNow ITOM Implementation Specialist (preferred).
- ITIL Foundation Certification (preferred).
