Job Title: Senior Executive / Executive - Purchase

Location: Mumbai

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Senior Executive Purchase to manage project procurement and indirect purchasing activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for vendor sourcing, techno-commercial evaluations, procurement planning, price negotiations, and ensuring timely procurement of materials and services. The role requires strong coordination with internal stakeholders and suppliers to support smooth business operations and cost-effective procurement practices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage indirect procurement and project purchasing activities in line with organizational requirements.
- Source vendors and obtain competitive quotations for materials and services.
- Prepare comparative statements, techno-commercial evaluations, and procurement recommendations.
- Conduct vendor development, qualification, performance evaluation, and relationship management.
- Lead commercial negotiations to achieve cost optimization and favorable procurement terms.
- Generate Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely order placement and execution.
- Coordinate with internal departments and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Monitor procurement schedules and proactively address supply-related issues.
- Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, contracts, and documentation.
- Prepare MIS reports, procurement dashboards, and management presentations.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and audit requirements.




- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.

Required Skills & Competencies:

- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent vendor management and stakeholder coordination abilities.
- Sound knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and purchasing documentation.
- Strong commercial acumen with a focus on cost optimization.
- Proficiency in SAP and MS Excel.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Materials Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 3-8 years of experience in Procurement, Purchase, Sourcing, or Vendor Management.
- Experience in project procurement, indirect purchasing, and vendor development preferred.
- Working knowledge of SAP and MS Excel is essential.
- Exposure to manufacturing, engineering, pharmaceutical, or industrial environments will be an added advantage.
