JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

RKD is seeking a detail-oriented and forward-thinking Senior QA Engineer to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the integrity of our data-driven projects, with a specific focus on ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) pipelines and modern automation.

The ideal candidate is someone who balances traditional QA rigor with a passion for AI-driven testing and efficient data validation.

Key Responsibilities

- Test Strategy & Execution: Design, develop, and maintain both manual and automated test scripts tailored for data-heavy environments.

- Data Pipeline Validation: Execute functional, regression, and performance testing specifically for ELT pipelines to ensure data accuracy and flow.

- Defect Management: Log, track, and manage software defects using Jira, ensuring explicit communication with the development team.

- End-to-End Testing: Perform comprehensive testing of ELT processes using innovative, efficient approaches to validate data from source to destination.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with developers and product owners to clarify requirements and define robust acceptance criteria.

- Innovation: Continuously enhance QA practices by exploring and integrating emerging AI-driven solutions and tools.

Requirements

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT,



or a related technical field.

- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience in software quality assurance.

- Automation Expertise: Hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, or equivalent tools.

- AI Integration: Exposure to AI-assisted code generation or AI-powered testing automation

- QA Fundamentals: A strong, foundational understanding of QA methodologies, life cycles, and best practices.

- Soft Skills: Sharp analytical thinking, proactive problem-solving, and meticulous attention to detail.

- Experience testing Cloud & DevOps systems, including CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and infrastructure deployments

- Strong understanding of Terraform testing, Code scanning, and Security Testing practices

- Exposure to Disaster Recovery scenarios, failover testing, and infrastructure resilience validation

- Data Platforms: Practical experience working with Snowflake..

- DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into the deployment workflow.

- Database Knowledge: Proficiency in SQL and a solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., MySQL).
