IT Business Coordinator, Claims Innovation Team

We are seeking a sharp, proactive, and results-oriented IT Business Coordinator to serve as the critical liaison between our Claims team and our IT department. The ideal candidate is a sincere professional who can take initiative, drive projects forward, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery of solutions. You will be instrumental in translating business needs into technical requirements, coordinating project timelines, and ensuring our claims technology is optimized to support our operational goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Proactively engage with the Claims team to understand their challenges, processes, and business requirements. Translate these needs into clear, detailed, and actionable specifications for the IT department.

- Project Management and Execution: Take ownership of the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning to final implementation. This includes creating and managing detailed project plans, defining milestones, assigning tasks, and ensuring all stakeholders are aligned and held accountable.

- Cross-Departmental Coordination: Facilitate smooth inter-departmental implementation by coordinating with IT and other relevant departments (e.g., Underwriting, Finance, Customer Service). Ensure all teams are aligned on project goals, timelines, and dependencies to guarantee a seamless rollout.

- Data Analysis and Insights: Utilize data analysis skills to study existing processes and project outcomes. Proactively identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the claims ecosystem.

- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between Claims and IT. Provide regular, transparent updates on project progress, potential roadblocks,



and outcomes to all relevant parties.

- Problem-Solving: Anticipate and identify potential issues that could impact project delivery. Use a proactive approach to troubleshoot problems and drive resolutions with authority, ensuring projects stay on track.

- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the IT team during the development and testing phases to ensure the final product meets the business requirements and functions as expected.

- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of business requirements, project plans, test cases, and project outcomes.

- Strong project management skills: Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, including planning, execution, and risk management.

- Data analysis skills: The ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify opportunities and drive informed decisions.

- Robust communication and interpersonal skills: The ability to effectively communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Proven track record of project coordination or management: Experience in coordinating projects and driving them to successful completion on time.

- Initiative and Proactiveness: A self-starter who can identify opportunities for improvement and take the lead without constant direction.

- Attention to detail: The ability to thoroughly analyze business processes and technical specifications to ensure accuracy and prevent errors.

- Problem-solving abilities: A strong aptitude for identifying issues and developing effective, timely solutions.

Prior experience in the insurance or claims industry is a plus.

Experience working with IT teams on business requirements is preferred.
