Industry: Architecture / Interior Design / Engineering Services / KPO
Functional Area: Human Resources

Role Summary
We are hiring a hands-on HR Manager who can independently run the full HR lifecycle from hiring and onboarding to payroll, attendance, compliance, performance, and employee wellbeing. The right candidate is process-oriented, employee-friendly, comfortable handling a multicultural environment (Indian team supporting US/Canada operations), and capable of building HR systems that scale as we grow.
Key Responsibilities
1. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for technical (AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision, Microvellum, SolidWorks drafters, engineers, estimators) and non-technical roles (admin, IT, accounts, BD).
- Source candidates through Naukri, LinkedIn, IIM Jobs, employee referrals, walk-ins, and consultancies.
- Screen profiles, schedule interviews, coordinate technical tests, and manage the offer-to-joining pipeline.
- Maintain a healthy talent pipeline and reduce time-to-hire.
2. Onboarding & Induction
- Manage joining formalities, documentation, background verification, and ID/email/system access coordination with IT.
- Conduct structured induction covering company policies, culture, client confidentiality, US working-hours expectations, and software-specific SOPs.
- Ensure smooth integration of new hires with their reporting managers and team leads.
3. Payroll & Salary Processing
- Process monthly payroll accurately and on time, including attendance inputs, leave deductions, incentives, overtime, and reimbursements.
- Manage statutory compliance — PF, ESI, PT, TDS, gratuity, bonus — and coordinate with the accounts team and consultants for filings.
- Generate salary slips, Form 16, full-and-final settlements, and handle salary-related queries with discretion.
4. Attendance & Leave Management
- Maintain accurate attendance records using biometric/HRMS systems.
- Track shift rosters (including US-shift / night-shift teams), late marks, leave balances, comp-offs, and WFH approvals.
- Generate monthly attendance and productivity reports for management review.
5. Employee Engagement & Wellbeing
- Drive employee engagement initiatives — birthdays, work anniversaries, festivals, team outings, R&R; programs, and wellness drives.
- Run regular pulse checks, one-on-ones, and stay interviews to gauge employee satisfaction.
- Promote mental health and work-life balance, especially for night-shift staff.
- Handle grievances, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters fairly and confidentially.
6. HR Operations, Policies & Compliance
- Maintain and update HR policies, employee handbook, and SOPs in line with Indian labour laws and company values.
- Ensure compliance with Shops & Establishments Act, POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment), Maternity Benefit Act, and other applicable regulations.
- Maintain employee records, contracts, NDAs, and confidentiality agreements (critical for our client-data-sensitive work).
- Manage offboarding, exit interviews, clearance, and F&F; closures.
7. Performance Management & L&D;
- Coordinate appraisal cycles, KRA/KPI tracking, and probation confirmations with department heads.
- Identify training needs and coordinate technical (CAD/Cabinet Vision/Microvellum upskilling) and soft-skill training programs.
- Support career growth conversations and internal movement.
8. HR Reporting & Coordination with US Leadership
- Share weekly/monthly HR dashboards (headcount, attrition, hiring funnel, attendance trends) with the CEO and US leadership.
- Coordinate with US/Canada offices on cross-border HR matters where applicable.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- MBA / PGDM in HR, or equivalent (Master's preferred; strong Bachelor's + experience also considered).
- 5–10 years of HR generalist experience, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial / independent-charge capacity.
- Hands-on experience with payroll processing and statutory compliance (PF, ESI, PT, TDS).
- Working knowledge of HRMS / payroll tools (Keka, GreytHR, Zoho People, Darwinbox, or similar).
- Strong understanding of Indian labour laws and POSH compliance.
- Excellent English communication (written and verbal) — required as the team interacts with US/Canada stakeholders.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Google Workspace, and basic reporting.
- High integrity, confidentiality, and emotional maturity.
- Experience in IT/ITES, KPO, engineering services, or architecture/design outsourcing firms is a strong plus.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to night-shift / US-shift team management.
- Experience setting up HR processes from scratch or scaling teams from 100 to 300+.
- Familiarity with employer branding on LinkedIn / Naukri / Glassdoor.
