Job Title: Senior Hardware Design Engineer
Location: Hosur, Tamil Nadu

We are seeking a Senior Hardware Design Engineer with 4–8 years of hands-on experience in embedded hardware development, specializing in UAV, Drone, and Aerospace electronic systems.
The role involves end-to-end ownership of hardware design and development for UAV subsystems, including Flight Controllers, Power Management Systems, ESC Interfaces, GNSS/GPS, Telemetry, RF Communication, Battery Management, and Sensor Systems.
The candidate will be responsible for prototype development, hardware bring-up, validation, debugging, NPD, and sustaining projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with Firmware, RF, Mechanical, Systems, Testing, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, lightweight, power-efficient, cost-effective, and high-performance UAV products throughout the hardware development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Take complete ownership of hardware design and development for NPD and sustaining engineering projects.
- Analyze product requirements, specifications, timelines, project planning, and participate in technical reviews.
- Interface with business units, customers, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and drive project execution.
- Prepare technical presentations, MOMs, engineering reports, and project status updates.
- Perform component selection, BOM analysis, cost optimization, and obsolescence management.
- Design and develop digital, analog, mixed-signal, power, and embedded hardware circuits.
- Create and review schematics, support PCB layout reviews, and ensure design and manufacturing requirements are met.
- Lead prototype bring-up, functional verification, debugging, troubleshooting, and board/system-level validation.
- Develop and execute test plans, verification procedures, and test cases for product qualification.
- Perform environmental, reliability, stress, and corner-case testing using environmental chambers and laboratory equipment.
- Collaborate with Firmware teams on hardware-software interaction and system architecture.
- Investigate and resolve hardware issues during development, certification, manufacturing, and field operation.
- Prepare and maintain design documentation, validation reports, test procedures, and release documentation.
- Drive continuous improvements in performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
Required Experience
- 4–8 years of hands-on experience in embedded hardware design and development.
- Strong experience in Digital, Analog, and Mixed-Signal Circuit Design.
- Experience in Microcontroller/Microprocessor-based embedded hardware development.
- Hands-on experience with Power Supply Design, Battery Management, ADCs, Memories, Buffers, Drivers, Amplifiers, and Sensor Interfaces.
- Good knowledge of power electronics including MOSFETs, IGBTs, Thyristors, Opto-Isolators, and Solid-State Switching.
- Proficiency in UART, I²C, SPI, CAN, RS-485, USB, and Ethernet.
- Familiarity with wireless technologies such as BLE, Zigbee, Wi-Fi, GPS, and LoRa.
- Experience in Schematic Design, PCB Review, Circuit Simulation, Board Bring-Up, and System Validation.
- Strong understanding of EMI/EMC, DFM, Signal Integrity (SI), and Power Integrity (PI).
- Hands-on experience with LTspice and PSpice.
- Skilled in laboratory equipment including Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Signal Generators, DMMs, and Electronic Loads.
- Ability to optimize designs for performance, reliability, cost, and manufacturability.
Preferred Skills
- Valuable understanding of PCB Stack-up, Layout Review, Signal Integrity, Power Integrity, and Design-for-Manufacturing principles.
- Working knowledge of EMI/EMC concepts, mitigation techniques, and compliance requirements.
- Experience preparing Design Notes, Validation Reports, Test Procedures, and Engineering Documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured engineering approach.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
