Job Title: Software Engineer (III) - Core Engineer II

Location: Chennai

Work Type: Hybrid (4 Days work From Office)

Position Description:

- We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Java Developer with 4+ years of IT experience and at least 3+ years of software development experience to design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications and microservices.
- The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java 17+, Spring Boot 3.x, React, Microservices, GCP, REST APIs, Apigee, Cloud Build, and modern DevOps/SRE practices.
- The candidate will be responsible for building fault-tolerant and highly available microservices, developing user-friendly frontend applications, designing APIs and caching solutions, implementing CI/CD pipelines, optimizing application performance, and leveraging AI-assisted engineering tools for development, testing, refactoring, and documentation.
- Strong experience with GCP, PostgreSQL, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Terraform, Tekton, Dynatrace, Splunk, and AIOps is highly desirable.

- 4+ years of overall IT experience with at least 3+ years of hands-on software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 17+ and Spring Boot 3.x.
- Experience designing, developing, and deploying scalable Microservices architectures.
- Strong experience with React and modern frontend development.
- Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs and API specifications using Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Experience with Apigee for API management and endpoint development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-native application development.




- Experience with Cloud Build and cloud-based CI/CD practices.
- Solid understanding of fault-tolerant and highly available application architectures.
- Experience implementing multi-tier caching strategies, including endpoint caching, cache-aside, and read/write-through patterns.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and/or other relational databases such as SQL Server or DB2.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases is an advantage.
- Experience with Cloud SQL and BigQuery is preferred.
- Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines using Tekton and infrastructure automation using Terraform.
- Strong understanding of DevOps, SRE, monitoring, observability, performance optimization, and reliability engineering.
- Experience with Dynatrace, Splunk, and AIOps-driven monitoring and diagnostic practices.
- Ability to minimize MTTR through proactive monitoring, automated diagnostics, and predictive telemetry.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Gemini Code Assist, and Agentic AI.
- Exposure to AI-driven testing, predictive defect analysis, and AI-assisted software engineering practices.
- Experience conducting technical discovery, including current-state and future-state architecture analysis.
- Ability to evaluate technical solutions based on scalability, performance, operational requirements, and cost.
- Strong understanding of Agile Scrum, XP practices, Pair Programming, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Experience participating in sprint planning, backlog grooming, demos, journey mapping, and other Agile ceremonies.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and technical mentoring skills.
- Ability to provide accurate user-story estimates and mentor junior developers.
- Experience delivering complex, global, headless digital architectures is preferred.
- GCP, reactive programming, or related technical certifications are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree is preferred.
