. Job Purpose The Senior Draughtsman / Draughtsman ACHE is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed engineering drawings for Air Cooled Heat Exchangers (ACHE), ensuring compliance with design inputs, standards, and fabrication requirements.

The role supports design, production, and project execution teams by delivering high-quality drawings within defined timelines.

3. Scope of Role The role is responsible for:

- Preparation of ACHE engineering and fabrication drawings
- Supporting thermal and mechanical design teams
- Ensuring drawing accuracy and compliance
- Coordination with production and quality teams

4. Key Responsibilities 4.1 Drawing Preparation (ACHE)

- Prepare drawings for:

- Air Cooled Heat Exchangers

- Tube bundles

- Headers

- Structural supports

- Develop

- General Arrangement (GA) drawings

- Fabrication drawings

- Detail drawings

4.2 CAD Drafting

- Use CAD tools such as:

- AutoCAD
- 2D / 3D drafting software
- Ensure proper dimensioning, tolerances, and detailing.

4.3 Interpretation of Design Inputs

- Interpret inputs from:

- Thermal design (HTRI outputs)

- Mechanical design calculations

- Datasheets and specifications
- Convert engineering data into detailed drawings.

4.4 Compliance with Standards

- Ensure drawings comply with:
- API standards (API 661 preferred)

- Project specifications





- Company drafting standards

4.5 Revision & Document Control

- Incorporate revisions and maintain version control.
- Ensure traceability of drawing changes.
- Maintain proper documentation as per procedures.

4.6 Coordination with Design & Production

- Coordinate with:

- Thermal design engineers

- Mechanical design team

- Production / Shop floor
- Support resolution of drawing-related queries.

4.7 Manufacturing Support

- Provide drawing support for fabrication and assembly.
- Assist in resolving shop-floor issues related to drawings.

4.8 Quality & Accuracy

- Ensure high accuracy in:

- Dimensions

- Layouts

- Material specifications
- Minimize errors and rework.

4.9 Continuous Improvement

- Follow drafting standards and checklists.
- Suggest improvements in drawing practices and tools.

5. Additional Responsibilities (Senior Draughtsman)

- Handle complex ACHE drawings and assemblies.
- Guide and mentor junior draughtsmen.
- Ensure adherence to standards across team.
- Support checking process and internal reviews.
