SAP ABAP Developer – SAP IS-U & OData

Experience - 7+ Years

Location - Pan India

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with strong hands-on expertise in SAP IS-U (Industry Solution for Utilities) , OO ABAP , and SAP OData Services . The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and supporting scalable SAP solutions and APIs across SAP and non-SAP systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain robust ABAP solutions using Object-Oriented ABAP (OO ABAP) principles.
- Work extensively with SAP IS-U data models , understanding key master data and transactional tables.
- Query and analyze SAP IS-U data to translate functional requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Design, develop, expose, and consume OData services using SAP Gateway .
- Implement advanced OData capabilities, including:
- Deep Insert
- Complex Entity Expansions
- Batch Processing
- Navigation and Association Handling
- Develop and consume RESTful APIs for SAP and external system integrations.
- Design and implement integrations using RFCs, BAPIs, and Proxies .
- Develop seamless integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems .
- Analyze functional requirements and prepare appropriate technical designs and development solutions.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, performance optimization, and production support.
- Troubleshoot complex ABAP, OData, and integration-related issues.
- Follow SAP development standards, coding best practices,



and performance optimization techniques.
- Collaborate with functional consultants, business stakeholders, integration teams, and other technical teams.

Mandatory Skills

- 7+ years of SAP ABAP development experience
- Strong hands-on experience in Object-Oriented ABAP (OO ABAP)
- Strong experience in SAP IS-U / Industry Solution for Utilities
- Strong knowledge of SAP IS-U data models, master data, and transactional tables
- Hands-on experience with SAP Gateway and OData Services
- Experience with OData V2/V4 concepts and service development
- Strong understanding of Deep Insert, Entity Expansion, and Batch Processing
- Experience with RESTful APIs
- Hands-on experience with SAP integration technologies:
- RFC
- BAPI
- Proxies
- Solid troubleshooting and debugging skills
