Job Title: Rubber Moulding Supervisor

Job Summary

We are looking for a Rubber Moulding Supervisor to manage day-to-day rubber moulding production, shop floor operations, shift workers, and rubber moulding machinery. The role involves handling compression moulding, injection moulding, or transfer moulding hydraulic presses to ensure safe, effective, and consistent production of rubber parts.

The Rubber Moulding Supervisor will be responsible for achieving daily production targets, monitoring raw material usage, moulding processes, defect and rejection rates, and ensuring that finished rubber components meet the required technical specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Management

- Manage daily rubber moulding production and achieve assigned shift production targets.
- Schedule work activities and coordinate machine operations, including compression moulding, injection moulding, transfer moulding, and curing operations.
- Monitor hydraulic press operations, production cycles, machine utilization, and shop floor activities.
- Ensure optimum utilization of raw materials, manpower, machines, moulds, and production resources.

Quality Control

- Check trial pieces and ensure rubber moulded components meet required specifications.
- Monitor defect rates, rejection rates, and quality issues and take necessary corrective action to minimize rejections.
- Verify finished rubber parts against standard blueprints, drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Monitor moulding parameters such as temperature, pressure, timing, and curing cycles.

Team Leadership

- Assign work to machine operators and shift workers according to production requirements.
- Manage shift workforce and coordinate day-to-day shop floor activities.
- Train and guide machine operators in proper rubber moulding machine operation and production processes.




- Monitor individual performance and ensure operators follow defined production and quality procedures.

Troubleshooting

- Identify and resolve immediate issues related to hydraulic presses, temperature, pressure, timing, curing cycles, and moulds.
- Troubleshoot moulding process problems to minimize machine downtime and production loss.
- Coordinate with relevant personnel to resolve machine, mould, and process-related problems.
- Take immediate corrective action to maintain smooth and continuous production.

Safety & Compliance

- Ensure safe working practices are followed across the rubber moulding shop floor.
- Enforce the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by operators and shift workers.
- Ensure proper ventilation and safe handling of rubber compounds and chemical additives.
- Maintain proper factory housekeeping, workplace safety, and machine operating practices.
- Ensure workers follow applicable safety procedures while operating hydraulic presses and rubber moulding machinery.

Job Requirements & Skills

Education

- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Polymer/Rubber Technology, or equivalent vocational training.
- Experience
- 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a rubber or polymer manufacturing plant, preferably involving rubber moulding and shop floor production operations.

Technical Knowledge

- Understanding of rubber compounds and rubber moulding processes.
- Knowledge of vulcanization and curing cycles.
- Understanding of compression moulding, injection moulding, and transfer moulding.
- Knowledge of hydraulic press operations and basic moulding process parameters.
- Understanding of production quality, rejection control, and basic mould/process troubleshooting.

Soft Skills

- Strong shift-handling and shop floor leadership skills.
- Basic problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.
- Good team management and operator coordination skills.
- Clear communication and ability to coordinate effectively with shop floor workers.
